I've been playing about with websites since the World Cup in 2006 where I set up the now offline (but may come back soon) Sportslivegold.com which gave live scores on all sports & live text commentary on the televised games. It was relatively succesful hits wise but I wasn't in a position to capitalise monitarily. It was the first website to bring text commentary with a humorous slant & I think that's what made it so popular.
5 years on & that type of commentary seems to have grown in leaps & bounds with most media websites operating the service in a form that I broke through with. Unfortunately illness halted me in my tracks despite the relative success of the site.

A few months into the site I did a live golf service for the Ryder Cup that hit over 300,000 daily hits but again fate conspired to send that down the swanny.

It was while I was playing golf as part of my rehabilitation one day that I had an idea of creating a site that had photographs & information of each hole to give amateur golfers the type of level of information that professionals usually have. So far it has performed ok with a steady stream of hits but I wasn't happy with the look so I decided to pop into HSI to get a bit more information on how to make a better site. Being slightly old school I was working with notepad & editing my html that way but luckily enough it was a Eureka moment & the new site has still a bit to go but will look a lot better.

The rest of the gang in the photos are my personal escorts. As an epileptic with severe chronic fatigue I'm not allowed within a million miles of a steering wheel so I drag on my father, brother & a few cousins when I get a chance so I can rip them apart while on the course.

It's good fun doing it & getting around some of the finest golf courses in the world is a pleasure. The site you're reading here will probably look way different in a few months time but for the first time using dreamweaver I'm satisfied with my efforts.
