HOLE GUIDE
TEE SHOT : Not the worst in the world. Seeing as it's a relatively short par 5 there isn't as much as a premium for distance unless you fancy a pop at the green in two. Should that be the case you need a boomer right between the trees at the narrow part of the fairway. Angle wise there isn't much of a difference as long as you're on the fairway. Have a whack. There's space here.
APPROACH SHOT : Depending on what's left here really makes the decision for you. Should you choose to take out the wood and have a crack then you have to take the bunkers into account. These come into play big time here. You have to make sure that you have the yardage unless you have the talent to find the eye of a needle from 200+ yards. The percentage play here is to lay up to a wedge distance where you can really take the sand out of play and allow you to control your approach to the green. Keep an eye on where the pin is as the green like a lot on this course is tiered and extremely tricky especially if the pin is in the back left. Consider the green as two greens distance wise when chosing your club.
THE GREEN : What a tricky green this is. Pin position is key. Try to keep it somewhere in the middle and then at least you should be able to see the hole as there's a distinct possibility of a blind putt to the hole or an extremely slippery downhill putt if you're on the wrong side. Try to get it as close as you can.
OVERALL TIPS : Have a blast from the tee and try to get it as far as you can up the fairway. The smart move for the 2nd here would be to lay up but make sure that you are within touching distance of the green so that you can at least make sure that you have a shot at getting a decent view of the hole. You can miss it slightly as long as you're on the correct level and not making sandcastles but a par is a good possibility here with a chance of a birdie.
OBSTACLES
Out Of Bounds : None unless you go well over the green and past the trees.
Trees : There aren't that many trees on the fairway but they do tighten up the drive. Around the back of the green you've a good clumb of evergreens which will have you hunting for hours should you lose it in there.
Bunkers : Fairway wise there's none really although the 8th greenside bunker does get into your eyeline but shouldn't be any worry to you. Bunkers do come into play around the green as they surround the front and the right hand side of the green. There's a bit of a gap in the middle of the front but that's made up with a bunker about 20 yards on the right in front of the greenside bunkers. These aren't that deep but are tricky enough.
