HOLE GUIDE
TEE SHOT : It's tough enough to see the green in the distance but it's a pretty straight drive. If you do need a guide try to aim a few yards to the right of the end of the cart path. As long as you hit it ok then you should be safe onto the fairway. If you do slide off either left or right it's not the end of the world.
APPROACH SHOT : It's a tricky green to gauge the distance to what with the offshore breezes and the uphill nature of your 2nd shot so be wary of leaving the 2nd shot short. It's a narrow enough entrance but it's a flat enough green and doesn't get too wet even in the worst of weather due to the coastal location so allow for a bit of run.THE GREEN : It's a very smooth green with very few big breaks it's a lovely green to aim straight as you can and hope you get the pace right. What to look out for really is the wind as when it starts to whip up your ball could get blown offline. All in all it's a nice green to putt on.
OVERALL TIPS : The key to this hole is to get some decent distance off the tee. You need to be in a position for your second shot where you don't have to be hitting up the hill too steeply. In order to get a good score you will need to get hole high on your second. If you just miss the green it shouldn't be too hard to get the pitch close and then it's up to your putter to do it's job. It's not the toughest hole on the course but it's uphill all the way and if the wind is in your face then it will be a serious animal. On your way to the next tee enjoy the view out into the ocean.
OBSTACLES
Out Of Bounds : If you go very wayward to the left then you will be out of bounds over the fence. It shouldn't be an issue really as it should be out of your range.
Water : While you can get a terrific view of the water on your left it won't come into play.
Bunkers : There's a shallow bunker to the left of the green but if you do land in it it's not going to cost you too much.
